Flintstone Vitamins

I went to a new doctor today. She had an Irish accent. Man, I wish I had some kind of accent, other than the Utah one which is unattractive...

Anyhoo. Adam and I are both in school, both of us seem to be doing well and are staying on top of homework thus far. I am getting really excited to be done, at least with this chapter of school. I still debate with myself at least a few times a week about what I truly want to be doing. This tiny part of me still says I want to teach school...but, eh. I think I will give it a couple of years and see if I still have this desire. I can always go back, right?

I have been looking at things for my graduation ceremony, and all I can say is " WOW things are expensive!" To even get the invites for the ceremony it is $60.00 for 25 of them. I halfway thought about just making some, but after all this time and money I've invested into going to the U, I might as well have the official commencement exercise invitations. Besides, I've learned from my Personal Finance class that my time is actually worth a dollar amount. So, I vote my time is worth $50.00 per hour. Therefore, making invitations is going to cost someone a lot of money!!! Uh...yeah. :D

An open letter to Winter, or how I am avoiding doing paperwork.

Dear Winter,

I have lived in Northernish Utah for the past 25 years, and I am still not used to you. In fact, I think you get progressively worse as the years go on.

I do not enjoy how for three months my hands, feet, and nose are freezing. They freeze from the moment I wake until I go to sleep. Brr...

I tolerate you before Christmas, but this is all.

I do enjoy, however, how you become a conversation starter for those awkward moments when one would have nothing else to say to a person. " Wow, it's freezing!" usually followed by" I know!!!". Makes me feel like I've contributed something to society, for at least that day.

So, if you could at least go away by...oh...March, I would really appreciate it.

Cordially yours,
Senorita CanCan

Sleep

Sleep is such a precious thing.

When I don't get enough of it, I feel like a little kid that hasn't gotten enough sleep. Cranky, almost teary, just for the sake of not having any sleep. How lame.

Last night I couldn't sleep because Adam and I switched sides of the bed. I was using the computer, which has a permanent dead battery. Therefore, it always must be plugged in. Plus, it's a Mac, so the plug in apperatus unplugs constantly and is extremely annoying. Adam crashed early, so I had to sleep on his side. When he's gone camping without me ( twice, I think) I have slept on his side of the bed for a soul comforting of sorts. However, when he is there it is entirely different and therefore very uncomfortable!

George ( the dog) decided last night would also be a wonderful night to start his detective agency. He was sniffing EVERYTHING and would not stay on the bed. I don't know what he was looking for, because he didn't even chew anything up. Just sniffed and sniffed all night. The slight jingle jingle of his dog tags was ringing in my ears until very early this morning, despite my getting up and putting him back on the bed about 10 times.

In between all of this, my brain would just not shut off. I cannot remember what I was even telling myself, but it was something important because I thought of it all night long.

So here I am, probably running( ok, slow motion moving) off of about two hours of sleep. I'm ususally such a champion at sleeping. Sigh.

Davis family Christmas

After Christmas with the Cases, we ventured up to Kearns and had Christmas with my side of the family.

Vanna and her new Bitty Baby

Adam and probaby his favorite Christmas Present. :)

Cute baby Aryonnah

Nichole and her new bathrobe

Adam and Aryonnah

So, this picture just makes me laugh. I don't think my brother knows how to take a normal picture anymore.

Savannah and her Chipmunks. I am so glad she likes the Chipmunks, that was the best cartoon ever!

Hrm, not quite sure what's going on here....

When people other than I operate my camera, we get weird colors. So here I am with Savannah and Aryonnah, probably in 1960. :)

Finally, a cute Christmas girl. :)

Hrm, do you publically declare your New Years Resolutions to follow through on them, or does publically listing them set you up for failure?

A little of both, I think.

Maybe if I'm extremely vague, I can get away with this.

Ahem.

This year, I resolve to...

1. Be social more regularly.

2. Get back to a high school level of healthy. My personal high school level of healthy that is. Ok, I want to weigh what I did in high school. :D

3. Be more creative and finish the projects that I start

4. Graduate from college and find an awesome job. Or something that could potentially turn into an awesome job.

5. Stop focusing on what I couldn't change about events that have already happened, and focus on things I can do better.

To come- Awesome pictures of Christmas 2009! Woo woo!!!

Observations.

This weeks observations

1. Somewhere, in my mothers car, a tiny droplet of milk has trickled out of the carton, and so politely dropped upon the carpet. A daycare child summed it up best as he stepped into the Tahoe after getting a ride home from school, " It smells like a wet dog in here".

Really? I think it smells like sour death.

2. I can't find exactly where the milk has spilled, despite my best efforts. Sick.

3. I got out the Cricut machine to make Christmas cards. After I cut out some trees, I thought
" Wow, I don't want to do this!" and there it sits on the table. So, maybe I will go buy some cards tonight and mail them out.

4. I realized today that I was forcing myself to listen to Christmas music. FORCING. I came to my senses and quickly changed it to Oasis. Because I'm stuck in the 90's, music taste wise. Not that I don't like Christmas music, I've just heard it a weeeeee bit too much this year.

5. I have fallen asleep at 9:30 every night this week. It's been....nice.
